Introducing the new Samsung GR40 Gadox Digital Detector

Samsung is adding to their digital radiography portfolio with the introduction of a new S-Detector geared toward the needs of Hospital Ambulatory and Urgent Care affiliated facilities as well as Imaging Centers and Orthopedics.

The newest version of Samsung’s GR40 DR Retrofit is a Gadox detector type and based on the same Samsung XGEO platform as the other detectors in the GR40 family. The new detector uses the same intuitive and easy to use interface for simplified workflow. It uses Samsung’s next generation S-Vue imaging engine to deliver high resolution images for diagnostic confidence. And as all the GR40 S-Detectors it has the same fast preview time of 3 seconds for higher throughput.

The addition of this product to the GR40 portfolio is focused on enhancing the operation of clinics and facilities looking to upgrade from CR to DR. “We’re really seeing the positioning of this new detector as a CR killer,” said Jake Thompson, COO of Samsung Healthcare’s Regional Partner X-Ray Visions. “Especially with new legislation incentivizing the transition from CR to DR, the focus of this product is very timely for a lot of our clients.” As with other GR40 detectors the new Gadox device can easily upgrade existing radiography equipment providing a cost-effective path to enhancing operation from CR to DR.

The new lightweight 14×17 Wireless Gadox S-Detector is now available from Samsung.
